The considerable excitement surrounding the Blackhawks' New Year's Day game at Wrigley Field against the Red Wings is quite at odds with this lackluster video of the construction of the rink, but it's the only rink-under-construction-on-Major-League-Baseball-field video I have come across lately, so perhaps it will hold your interest. (Last night's snow couldn't have made the process any easier.)



There's anther aspect of this story which I hadn't heard about until reading a story earlier this week in the Sun-Times. It's captured in this quote from Crane Kenney of the Cubs:
